Real Property Tax Services

The Sullivan County Real Property Tax Agency provides professional services to our local assessors by supporting, advising, and assisting them in the preparation and maintenance of the assessment rolls. Our goal is to achieve and maintain equitable assessments throughout the County.

Technical and professional service is provided to other County departments, local governments, school districts, real estate professionals, property owners, and the general public. We strive to provide courteous and prompt service to all.

Our office is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of our County tax maps. We maintain real property data for 67,000 parcels within 21 municipalities.

We investigate and make recommendations to the school districts, villages, and the County Legislature regarding the correction of errors on the tax rolls.

We provide training, administrative support and assistance to boards of assessment review.

Our office also maintains the County 911 address database. This office no longer fills custom GIS map requests. However, you can request a custom GIS map through the Sullivan County GIS Program by sending an email to helpdesk@sullivanny.us. Please include, to the best of your ability, any details you need your map to contain, including: size, layers, title, scale, format, etc...
