Photo Exhibition Entry Rules & Selection:

Exhibit submissions are accepted October 8 - December 31, 2024.

Exhibit will run from March 1 - April 30, 2025, displaying photos in the Government Center, Monticello and the Sullivan County Cultural Center, Hurleyville.


Photographs must have been taken at the following Sullivan County Parks & Recreation Department Facilities:
- D&H Canal Interpretive Center and Linear Park
- Fort Delaware Museum of Colonial History
- Lake Superior State Park: Beach Area & Dam Area
- Livingston Manor Covered Bridge Park
- Minisink Battleground Park
- Stone Arch Bridge Historical Park
- Sullivan County Cultural Center (Museum)


- Submitted photographs may be from any year but their location must be at one of our parks or museums.
- Photographs may only be submitted by the original photographer.
- Photographers may be any age or skill level, but anyone under age 18 must have parent/guardian permission.
- Each photographer may submit up to three pieces for the juried exhibit.
- No people are to be photographed (landscapes and/or wildlife only).
- Photographs may not have watermarks or any identifying marks on them – this is in order to ensure our jurors are not biased.
- ANY PHOTOGRAPH SUBMITTED MAY BE USED IN SULLIVAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS.

Entries will be judged by a team of jurors selected by Sullivan County’s Parks & Recreation Department.

Photos will be judged on composition, focus, use of light, and the artistic presentation of the subject.

Standard editing is allowed (cropping, spot removal, straightening, sharpening, brightness and contrast). The resulting image should represent the subject as it appeared in nature when the photo was taken.

Submission does not guarantee entry. You will be notified in January 2025 of your entry’s status.

All accepted photographs will require final preparation, which will be done by the Sullivan County Parks and Recreation Department.
