(Liberty, NY 4:30pm) - An emergency preparedness exercise will take place at the Sullivan County Emergency Services Training Facility on Tuesday, February 28, from 9 am to 2 pm. Sullivan County Public Health Services, public safety and emergency preparedness personnel will exercise key parts of the county’s Health Emergency Operations Plan by simulating responses to a hypothetical influenza pandemic impacting county residents. Hospital staff, the Sheriff’s Office, state police, mental health providers, county officials and other partner organizations are collaborating with Public Health Services on the drill.
Sullivan County’s participation in this drill is part of the New York State Department of Health - Office of Health Emergency Preparedness’s plan to conduct a series of regional exercises during 2017.
