Liberty, NY – Sullivan County’s Public Health Director has been re-elected to the board of the New York State Association of County Health Officials (NYSACHO) for a 3-year term (2018-2020) and will serve as both chair of the Finance Committee and a newly formed workgroup to explore issues and challenges facing county health departments which continue to operate Certified Home Health Agencies (CHHAs).
“I am deeply pleased in this vote of confidence and support by my public health colleagues across the state, and I’m excited to continue advocating for local health departments in New York, including Sullivan County,” affirmed Public Health Director Nancy McGraw. “We have critically important topics to tackle.”
The role of the Finance Committee is to review policies, practices, and program initiatives related to the administration, operations, financing, and accreditation of local health departments, including the funding of local public health services; grants management; time and activity reporting; audits; and local health department workforce issues.
McGraw, LCSW, MBA, has served on NYSACHO’s Board of Directors since June 2017, when she was elected for a one-year term to fill a vacancy. She served as the vice chair of the Finance Committee during that time.
The mission of NYSACHO is to support, advocate for, and empower local health departments in their work to promote health & wellness and prevent disease, disability and injury throughout New York State.
