Sullivan County Senior Games Seeks Players 55 and Up

Monticello, NY – Let the fun begin! Sullivan County’s Senior Games are returning to Monticello this September, and if you’re 55 or older, we’re looking for you to compete!

A bevy of friendly competitive sports will be on tap at the Ted Stroebele Recreation Center in Monticello, starting with the opening ceremony and breakfast at 8 a.m. Monday, September 11.

• Monday, September 11: 1-Mile Walk (at Monticello High School), Co-Ed Corn Hole/Ladder Toss, Men’s Horseshoes, Women’s Ping-Pong, Women’s Shuffleboard and Co-Ed Air Hockey
• Tuesday, September 12: Men’s Bocci, Co-Ed Shuffleboard Doubles, Co-Ed Golf Putting, Men’s Darts, Women’s Horseshoes and Co-Ed Football Throw
• Wednesday, September 13: Women’s Bocci, Men’s Shuffleboard, Women’s Darts, Co-Ed Basketball Shooting, Co-Ed Corn Hole/Ladder Toss
• Thursday, September 14: Co-Ed Pinochle and Co-Ed Scrabble

A celebratory luncheon and bingo will close out the Games on September 14. Award pins will be given to the top three contenders in each category.

Only 115 paid registrants can be accommodated, however, so sign up today! Send your name, gender, phone number, and email address to Monticello Senior Games, c/o Nellie Culligan, 19 Stackhouse Road, Monticello, NY 12701. Please include a $7 registration fee made out to “Sullivan County Senior Games,” which will entitle you to a t-shirt, the breakfast and luncheon, the opening and closing ceremonies, and bingo and door prizes.
