MONTICELLO: 9:00 am – The Landfield Avenue Synagogue, 18 Landfield Avenue in Monticello, invites all to attend Veterans Shabbat. Services will be veteran-oriented, and you need not be Jewish to attend. This will be followed by Kiddush (Luncheon).
WOODBOURNE: 1:00 pm – The 26th Annual Veterans Day Parade hosted by the Woodbourne Fire Department #1 at 355 Fire House Road, Woodbourne. Line up at 12:00 pm, parade kicks off at 1:00 pm. Ceremony to follow with refreshments.
Sunday, November 9
HURLEYVILLE: 2:00 pm – A Sullivan County Historical Society-sponsored and Big Sky Productions-hosted Veteran-themed program will be held at the Sullivan County Museum at 265 Main Street, Hurleyville. Refreshments served after the show. All are invited.
Tuesday, November 11
BETHEL: 11:00 am – Sgt. Andrew Brucher-Bailey-Richman VFW Post 5499 will be conducting Veterans Day Services at the Veterans Park (Bethel Town Square) on Route 55 in Kauneonga Lake. Guest Speaker will be 100th District Assemblymember Paula Kay. All Veterans and the public are invited. Please arrive by 10:45 a.m.
ELDRED: 11:00 am – The Tusten-Highland-Lumberland VFW Post 6427 and the Sylvan-Liebla American Legion Post 1363 will hold a Veterans Day service at Heroes Park in Eldred, in honor of all veterans. Following the service, refreshments will be served, and they will have their annual raffle drawing.
GRAHAMSVILLE: 11:00 am – The Grahamsville Rural Cemetery will host a Flag-Raising Ceremony, followed by a ceremony at the Neversink Town Hall, both on Route 55 in Grahamsville.
LIBERTY: 5:00 pm until sold out – Spaghetti and meatball dinner at the Liberty Elks Lodge # 1545 located on Darbee Lane, Liberty. Veterans eat free, all others $15.
LONG EDDY: 11:00 am – The Allan Milk Memorial VFW Post 7276 and Auxiliary invite all area Veterans, their families, and the public to their Veterans Day Service and luncheon being held at the St. Patrick’s Church, Long Eddy.
MONTICELLO: 10:30 am – Veterans Day Ceremony will be held in the lobby of the Sullivan County Government Center, 100 North Street, Monticello. Representation from Monticello Police Department as well as a Color Guard Detail from Fallsburg Police Department and Troop 101 Scouts of America Honor Guard will be in attendance; public invited to attend.
SUMMITVILLE: 9:00 am – Summitville Firehouse, 3978 State Route 209, Summitville, will host a service conducted by Edward M. Maier VFW Post 4947.
WURTSBORO: 11:00 am service hosted by American Legion Post 1266 at Wurtsboro Veterans Park, Wurtsboro.
