Liberty, NY – Continuing its multi-agency efforts to root out waste, fraud and abuse of local social services, the Sullivan County Welfare Fraud Task Force announces the following arrests:
• Jonnelle L. Bowers, 36, of Liberty was arrested and charged with the Class E Felony of Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st Degree and the Class A Misdemeanor of Welfare Fraud Fifth Degree. It is alleged that Bowers filed a false medical report so that she could continue to qualify for and collect Public Assistance Benefits. Bowers was released on an appearance ticket pending her appearance in Town of Liberty Court.
• Clifton Stallworth, 39, of Rock Hill was arrested and turned over to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office. An investigation by the Task Force revealed that Stallworth was wanted in Columbia County for failing to pay $28,319.59 in Child support.
• Glen C. Flickenschild, 43, of Monticello was arrested after Task Force Members learned that Flickenschild was wanted by the New York State Police on an outstanding Criminal Mischief 4th Bench Warrant. Flickenschild was turned over to State Troopers from the Liberty Barracks.
• Jesse A. Frank, 32, of Liberty was arrested after Task Force Members learned that Frank was wanted by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office on an outstanding violation of probation warrant. Frank was processed by the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office and turned over to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
• Arlene Vigilone, 53, of Fallsburg was arrested and charged with the Class E Felony of Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st Degree and the Class A Misdemeanor of Welfare Fraud Fifth Degree. It is alleged that Vigilone collected food stamp benefits that she was not eligible for by failing to report income that she was receiving. Vigilone was released on an appearance ticket pending her appearance in the Town of Liberty Court.
