What does "STI" mean?
STI is short for "sexually transmitted infection". You may have heard the term "venereal disease", or VD.
What is the "STI Program"?
We can perform rapid HIV testing. If you need assistance with further services we will connect you with the correct places/person.
How do I make an appointment?
Call Public Health at 292-5910, and ask for extension 2212 or 2213.
How should I know if I need treatment?
If you are having any of the following symptoms: a discharge from the penis or vagina, burning, itching, a sore or sores, either painless, or painful, or your sexual partner has been diagnosed with an STI, you should seek treatment.
When should I contact this program?
If you don't have private health insurance, medicaid or medicare, or if you do have insurance, but can't afford the co-pay or deductible, and you have reason to believe you may need treatment, call our program.
