Loch Sheldrake, NY – Sullivan County Public Health Services would like to notify the public that it will be holding a mass vaccination Point-Of-Dispensing (POD) exercise tomorrow, May 1, 2018, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This is ONLY A DRILL and will be part of a larger statewide regional exercise. There will be no real vaccinations given.
Volunteers are needed to act out the role of those seeking vaccinations and walk through the clinic in order to test the capacity of the local health department to vaccinate large numbers of people within two hours. This exercise will assist public health staff with its preparedness in the event of a real public health emergency. All ages and backgrounds are welcome, including families.
The exercise will be held inside SUNY Sullivan’s Paul Gerry Fieldhouse, 112 College Road, Loch Sheldrake, NY. Preregistration is requested by visiting www.health.ny.gov/gotoclinic.
