Monticello, NY – Sullivan County’s Department of Solid Waste & Recycling is pleased to announce a NO CHARGE public paper shredding opportunity for Sullivan County residents at the Monticello Transfer Station on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 9 a.m-noon.
County residents may bring up to 3 legal-size paper file boxes for shredding. The Paper Shred Event is first-come, first-serve, so make arrangements to arrive early. Once the Shred Truck is full (approximately 150 participants), it will depart. The shredded paper will be recycled.
“Shredding personal, confidential documents is a great way to protect identity and financial information from identity thieves,” said Public Works Committee Chairman Joe Perrello. “Shredded old documents are fully recyclable as well, so we benefit twice!”
