Test Kits Available This Thursday at Government Center

COVID At-Home Test Kits

Monticello, NY – Thanks to a newly arrived shipment from the State, Sullivan County will be distributing free COVID-19 at-home test kits this Thursday, February 17, at the Government Center.

“Yesterday, we took possession of 20,000 kits,” Public Safety Commissioner Thomas Farney explained. “Since most of our towns, villages and schools have ample supply, we will be distributing these to agencies in need, County employees and, on Thursday, to the general public.”

The free kits contain two tests apiece. They will be distributed Thursday in the lobby of the Government Center, 100 North Street, Monticello between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. Limit two kits per person. (If leftover kits remain, further distribution events will be announced.)

Results are kept confidential and will aid Public Health officials in gaining a full understanding of COVID-19’s presence in the community.
