Local Voter Registration to be Held October 5 and 10

Monticello, NY – The Sullivan County Board of Elections will register voters on October 5 from 2-9 p.m. and October 10 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Government Center, 100 North Street, Monticello.

“We encourage anyone who has not yet registered to vote to come to our office on these days and times,” said Sullivan County Elections Commissioners Lori Benjamin and Deanna Senyk. “Registrants need only be U.S. citizens and residents of Sullivan County no less than 30 days before Election Day (November 5), at least 18 years of age (or will be by Election Day), not claiming to vote elsewhere in the same election, and neither be an incarcerated felon nor judged mentally incompetent by a court.”

Eligible residents can also apply online at https://elections.ny.gov/voter-registration-process.

In order to vote in the November 5 General Election, the last day the Board can receive voter registrations, by mail or in person, is Saturday, October 26.
