A Message from the Fire Coordinator
Happy Spring, once again the Emergency Services had a busy month with a large number of structure fires, brush fires and miscellaneous calls. I would like to thank all the emergency services for all your hard work and dedication.
As we move into April we still need to stay prepared for what Mother Nature will bring us.
BURN BAN - Reminder, the Burn Ban started on March 16th and ends on May 14, no open burning during this time.
Thank you, all the fire departments who submitted their fire reports.
I would like to welcome two new additions to the Division of Public Safety; Brian Soller Deputy Fire Coordinator - Special Operations and Jill Holland Health and Wellness Coordinator. Both come to the Division with years of experience to help to better serve our First Responders.
Training late spring and summer courses have been announced please go to the Bureau website https://sullivanny.gov/Departments/Fire/Training to see them. If any department would like to use the facility for single or multiple company drills please reach out at least 2 weeks in advance.
RECRUIT NY weekend is coming up April 26thand 27th.
Elections, several departments will be having their annual elections here in April, please if you have a change in officer’s contact your BC’s with all updates so we can update our records. These updates are important so we can keep the communications on going.
