Possible COVID-19 Exposure at Picnic in Roscoe

Roscoe, NY – Sullivan County Public Health Services is alerting anyone who attended a private family picnic at the Roscoe Firemen’s Field on Saturday, July 25, that they may have been exposed to COVID-19 (2019 Novel Coronavirus).

“We just received the test results today, confirming the individual was contagious starting around July 24,” explained Public Health Director Nancy McGraw. “They are currently under quarantine.”

Census Takers Beginning Local Visits on August 11

Monticello, NY – If you haven’t yet completed the 2020 Census form for your Sullivan County address, expect a knock on your door from a Census worker in a few weeks. Non-Response Follow Up, where Census Bureau employees go door-to-door for households that haven’t self-responded through one of the three methods available (online, phone, or paper), is slated to begin the second week of August.

You Can Apply for Public Assistance Online

Liberty, NY – Public Assistance (PA) applicants now have an additional option for applying for initial eligibility for PA.

The E-2921 application form can be filled out at https://mybenefits.ny.gov, or applicants can also apply by filing a paper version of the 2921 application and mailing it in to the Sullivan County Department of Family Services (DFS) at 16 Community Lane, Liberty, NY 12754, or dropping it off at one of the DFS drop boxes located at the DFS office or the Sullivan County Career Center at 50 North Street, Monticello.
